Recently, on January 1 st The events to mark the 203rd anniversary of Battle of Bhima-Koregaon celebrited at the Jaystambh at Pune’s Perne village .
The 1818 battle of Bhima-Koregaon should be included in the history textbooks, said Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale . हाल ही में , 1 जनवरी को 1818 में अँग्रेजों और पेशवाओं के बीच हुई भीमा कोरेगांव की लड़ाई की 203 वी वर्षगाँठ मनाई गई|
इस अवसर पर पुणे (महाराष्ट्र) के Perne गांव में बने जय स्तंभ पर लड़ाई में शामिल हुए महार सैनिकों को श्रद्धांजलि दी गई| इस अवसर पर सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता राज्य मंत्री रामदास अठावले ने 1818 की भीमा कोरेगांव की लड़ाई को इतिहास के पाठ्यक्रम में शामिल करने का केंद्र सरकार से आग्रह किया है|
